This geek family is happy to announce our new shop has launched!
I, Lady Geek, have always enjoyed making stuff and Lord Geek loves buttons. When he came up with the idea of setting up an online shop of geeky goodies, mini buttons were the first thing he thought of. I wasn’t too sure how, but next thing I knew I was sitting down with him learning how to use a button-making machine.
At first, it was a little scary. I was just afraid I’d break the machine (you know, because of my Amazonian strength). After a while though, I got the hang of it. And even our little one got in on the fun.
Our new shop has a few mini-buttons of the fandoms we enjoy. We’ll be adding more as time goes on. There are more fandoms we love and even some that have us curious.
Besides the mini-buttons we wanted our new shop to offer some handmade jewelry. Specifically, metal stamped jewelry. I’ve been designing for years, mostly for myself. I added metal stamped jewelry to my repertoire a couple of years ago. Before Hurricane Maria hit, my plan was to also offer my hand stamped jewelry to others. Lord Geek thought of mixing our geeky goodness with the metal stamping so we’re offering a few of these and are slowly adding more.
I enjoy clicking on buttons in Photoshop which is why I thought, ‘why don’t we also offer those designs?’ I thought it would be cool to have some of those designs printed up on items like Zazzle and Cafepress do. Lord Geek immediately thought t-shirts (he’s a t-shirt kinda guy). I’ve come up with a few things and hopefully we’ll be adding those to our new shop soon.
