A new year means new things. Although this geek family rang in 2018 in darkness (like many other Puerto Rico families who still don’t have electricity), we’re hopeful this new year will bring better and new things for us.
Hurricane Maria and the circumstances she brought with her derailed our We Do Geek plans, but we’re trying to get back on track. We’ve opened an Instagram and Facebook account that we’re tying to post on regularly. Unfortunately, this all depends on internet access. Until the electrical company and its contractors restore power, we still have to rely mostly on public wi-fi.
We’re also almost finishing up preparing our shop’s inventory. Once we do that, we can officially launch the We Do Geek shop. We already have a few cute things lined up with more to come. There are even some other things we’re not sure are possible to offer, but we are trying to figure it all out. We’re super excited about all of this because it’s something we can work on as a family.
Also as a family, we are looking forward to some geeky fun we want to share. These may (or may not?) include video games, food, and costumes. You can stay tuned for those following us on Instagram and Facebook.
We may not be able to do everything we planned (some things were time-sensitive and/or were affected by Maria), but we’re really hoping the new year allows We Do Geek to show others what we love and what we do.
